Practice Areas > Wrongful Death

Unfortunately, negligence sometimes causes the death of a person. If that occurs in Ohio, the beneficiaries (i.e., spouse, children, parents, siblings) may bring a wrongful death claim against the wrongdoer for the loss they suffered as a result of the death. These beneficiaries can recover for loss of reasonably expected earning capacity, loss of prospective inheritance, funeral and burial expenses, mental anguish and loss of companionship.

These tragic cases are among the most difficult and emotional for the attorney and client. We pride ourselves in understanding the enormity of the loss to the family of the victim. We attempt to negotiate a fair settlement for the family without going to trial, however, if the insurance company is not fair, we stand ready with the family to go to trial to achieve justice.
